At Filmfetch, we understand that acquiring and distributing the correct, functioning DCPs and video files is a crucial part of a festival. That’s why we’ve developed a service that supports both the programming and technical departments by not only transporting files but also checking, previewing, and transcoding them when necessary.

Over the past few years, we’ve developed Filmfetch in partnership with several Dutch film festivals. Our integration with Eventival marks the next step in our services.
Use the Eventival integration to manage the entire festival workflow from a single system. Directly retrieve screening files from submissions and manage the receipt and distribution of the necessary DCPs and video files for festival programming directly from Eventival.
Here’s a brief selection of what we do:
We don’t just transport DCPs but also automatically check them and perform a test ingest. This way, you can immediately confirm that the received film will play correctly.
We create automated download workflows so that an uploaded film is automatically downloaded to one or multiple locations. This is how we distribute films across all our screening venues for our own festivals.
We offer a solution for requesting and showcasing preview/screener files online, eliminating the need to manually collect and convert various video files.
We’re developing several tools, such as a slide-to-DCP converter (automatically converting a JPG or PNG into a DCP for cinema screenings) and the ability to create previews from a DCP.
We provide support to both film festivals and filmmakers for DCP submissions. This ranges from downloading files from various sources (Dropbox, Google Drive, Aspera, Filemail, Signiant, etc.) to offering assistance and advice on repairs, conversions, or transcoding if needed.
